Industrial Hose Fittings
WE HAVE IT ALL, AND THEN SOME!
When you need to accommodate moving systems, tight spaces, and even quick connection changes, all while working with potentially dangerous substances in large quantities, you’re most likely using industrial hose and just as importantly, industrial hose fittings. Quality is important and so are quick replacements. Fortunately, we stock reliable, high-quality industrial hose fittings for a variety of systems and uses.
Types of Industrial Hose Fittings That We Carry
Camlocks and fuel fittings
Camlock fittings are couplings that provide straight through connections. They tend to be user friendly, being operable by hand and requiring no tools to connect or disconnect them. They are threadless, so they’re suitable for use in dirtier environments. They are often used for fuel or water lines.
Hose shanks and strainers
Hose shanks, or barbs, are cylindrical components that are inserted into the end of the hose, and connect to a fitting on the other side. The barbed shape of the fitting mean that they can just be pushed into the hose, making them very easy to install.
Strainers are used to separate solid matter from fluids being moved through a hose system. They have many uses including protecting other elements of the system that could be damaged by stray particulates.
Air & Mining
Air fittings, or pneumatic fittings, are used in systems that transfer pressurized air or gases, as such, they need to be air tight and capable of withstanding a pressurized environment. They also need to be reliable in the case of hazardous gases.
There are several hoses used in mining applications, but often they’re used to transport slurries, or other substances containing heavy solids and particulates, over rough terrain. Mine fittings need to be able to withstand a lot and are generally unique to the industry.
Brass Fittings
Brass fittings have excellent corrosion and temperature resistance, are fairly ductile, which makes them easier to machine, and when taking into account their longevity and low maintenance needs, are also a cost-effective choice. We also have a full line of DOT approved truck brass fittings for automotive and mechanical shops and applications.
Clamps
Industrial hose clamps, like crimps, use compression to create a seal and connection; however, clamps are less permanent and easier to remove. That also means that they are slightly less secure than crimps, so they are best used for low pressure applications or in cases where the connection is temporary.
Fire & Pressure Wash Fittings
Fittings for fire hoses and pressure washers need to be able withstand very high volumes of fluid at equally high pressure levels. We carry fittings designed specifically for those purposes.
