Fittings

WE HAVE IT ALL, AND THEN SOME!

Your fittings are the connection points between your system components, and that kind of responsibility requires both high quality and excellent fit, not only physically, but chemically. So, we carry a very wide selection of types, materials, pressure capacities, and grades of fitting between ⅛ inch to 48 inches in diameter, for schedules 5 to XXH, and we supply generic import, approved import, and domestic materials in order to accommodate the extremely variable needs of our customers.

Types of Fittings That We Carry

Grooved Fittings

We offer a full range of grooved fittings, and we offer custom grooving services for any of the components that we supply. Grooved fittings are useful for joining pipes in both wet and dry systems.

Butt-weld fittings

Butt-weld fittings join components of the same diameter together end to end with welding. It’s a relatively strong joint, and resistant to fatigue, corrosion, and temperature, so they operate well under high pressures and are suitable for larger pipes. A skilled welder is necessary to safely make the connection.

Threaded fittings

Threaded fittings allow for pipes to be joined by screwing them together. This makes them very easy to install, but the connection itself isn’t very strong and is prone to leaking and even disconnection. They are most useful in low-pressure systems and shouldn’t be used to transport hazardous substances. We do offer custom threading services for pipes and components.

Socket-weld fittings

Socket-weld fittings fit over the outside of the pipe they’re joining to. They don’t require any beveling, but they aren’t as strong as some of the other fittings we provide, so they are generally used for smaller pipe in lower pressure systems.

Compression fittings

Compression fittings, as opposed to a soldered fitting which requires welding, use built in mechanisms to tighten the joint to pipes. Compression fittings have three parts: a nut, ferrule, and sleeve. A pipe is slid into the fitting, the nut is tightened until the sleeve compresses onto the pipe, making the connection. These fittings are quick and easy to install but can also be difficult to remove and don’t seal as well as soldered fittings. These fittings are best used when an air-tight seal isn’t necessary.

Because we understand how vital composition is, we supply material test reports (MTRs) to certify the physical and chemical properties of all of our fittings. We want you to be confident in your choices, both your fittings and us.

There’s a reason we are the most trusted fittings distributor for industries in northern BC.

We also stock industrial hose fittings and hydraulic hose fittings.
