Custom Cutting & Threading

WE HAVE IT ALL, AND THEN SOME!

Pipe cutting and threading are integral processes for anything requiring a piping system. Pipe cutting is of course cutting a pipe to a specific length, which sounds simple, but the precision required for one, or more likely, a series of pipe to fit together perfectly in exact spaces or to connect to other systems necessitates careful measurement or specialized equipment. We offer both.

Pipe threads are the helical grooves around the end of a pipe that can be used to screw two pieces together. Because the pieces must interlock, this naturally involves both internal and external threading, requiring considerations like proper alignment, sizing, depth, and in the case of internal threading, proper chip evacuation. The size and material of the pipe as well as the substances and pressures of the substances they’re carrying also factor into the threading.

Poorly threaded pipe don’t seal well, resulting in issues like leakage, which is not only a loss of the fluids you’re transporting, but also leaves you open to dangers like ignition in the case of flammable substances, slipping hazards, corrosion and equipment failure from excess moisture, and other health and safety issues.

We have years of experience threading pipe, and we keep two chop saws, two band saws, and two cutting torches with roller systems on hand to ensure that we can cut any size of pipe we carry in our inventory to suit your unique needs. We are also prepared to thread any of our pipe materials, which tend to vary from ¼ inch in diameter all the way up to 4 inches.
